Care

CLEANING & BRUSHING • When washing your hair extensions, it’s always best to let the hair air dry. You can also use a hairdryer on a low heat setting to speed up the drying process, making sure to keep the hairdryer about 30 cm away. Never sleep with wet hair. • Brush your hair thoroughly before washing and separate the bonds with your fingers if you have keratin extensions, as they can otherwise clump together. • When showering, gently massage the shampoo in downward motions, do not rub. Then rinse thoroughly! Do not shower with hot water; lukewarm is recommended. Use moisturizing conditioner while combing your hair. Do not wash your extensions more often than necessary to avoid unnecessary wear and tear. • Use Poze Luxury Hair Care products for cleaning and conditioning. With our products, you can be sure that they do not contain ingredients that are harmful to your extensions and your hair. Use a hair mask about twice a month if needed; do not use masks, oils, or other greasy products too often. Remember never to apply conditioner or masks near the bonds as it can make them greasy and cause them to loosen or slide off. When using extensions, always avoid products containing non-water-soluble silicones, as these can make the hair very tangled and significantly degrade its quality. Use moisturizing products, not lubricating ones, as these can make extensions tangled. • Brush your hair every day, starting at the ends. We recommend boar bristle brushes for hair extensions. Use a wide-toothed comb to detangle knots and snarls in the hair before it dries. It’s best to brush when the hair is dry. Always hold the bonds when brushing your hair to avoid pulling and breaking your extensions. STYLING • You can curl and straighten your hair extensions. You can style your hair extensions just like your own hair; be extra gentle and always use heat protection products that are silicone-free. Avoid straightening or blow-drying your extensions too often. The more often, the faster the hair wears out. • Never place a curling iron or straightener directly on keratin bonds as they can melt; also avoid this on bonds with other hair extension methods. • Do not spray hairspray containing alcohol on your extensions as this will damage the hair. Avoid styling products containing silicones/alcohol. AVOID • Braid your hair at night; there is nothing that causes as much wear and tear as sleeping, as you twist and rub your hair during the night. Use a hair tie without metal. Never go to bed with wet hair. Brush it again when you wake up. • Strong sun, heat, swimming in chlorinated and saltwater can loosen keratin bonds and other extension bonds. Hair wears out extra much when exposed to such conditions, saltwater and chlorine can cause severe tangling, and blonde hair can become discolored. Rinse your hair thoroughly with fresh water after such exposure & use a hair mask and leave-in products that protect the hair. Ideally, avoid swimming with your hair. We are not responsible for hair extensions used in sun or water. • Avoid using greasy products like masks and oils too often; we recommend about twice a month if needed. Lubricating products form a film around the strands that can stick together, making the hair tangled. • All toning, coloring, or other chemical treatments on the hair are done at your own risk. We do not recommend such treatments on your extensions as they have already been processed. We do not replace hair damaged due to chemical treatments.
